SUMMARY: We’re seeking a successful self-starter with at least three years of benefits administration experience to manage all facets of the agency’s wide offering of benefit and insurance plans. As part of the agency’s People Department, this newly created position has the opportunity to make a significant impact on the agency by working closely with our employees, brokers, carriers and accounting/payroll department to deliver a best-in-class experience for all. The ideal candidate will care as much about the well-being of their co-workers as they do about compliance and audits.

 

This part-time role will allow personal flexibility, with a mutually agreed upon 25-30 hour-per-week, hybrid work schedule. Marcus Thomas offers medical benefits at 30 hours per week. Part-time employees working at least 25 hours per week earn a 401(k) match, 12-week paid parental leave and a generous “PTO for Adults” benefit, among other offerings.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage all new-employee benefit enrollment activities. Provide new employees with the necessary and compliant plan details and conduct the benefits orientation. Follow up to make sure employees have completed their elections within the allotted time period.
  • Be our resident benefits subject matter expert. Respond quickly and empathetically to employee questions, concerns or problems as it relates to any of the agency’s benefits. Be an advocate for your co-worker.
  • Maintain employee privacy and confidentiality – must comply with HIPPA (this is a deal-breaker).
  • Review and reconcile monthly billing for accuracy. Work with our broker, carriers and payroll provider to promptly correct any inaccuracies.
  • Manage and maintain vendor, carrier and broker relationships ensuring customer service levels are met.
  • Develop and manage ongoing employee communications to improve understanding and use of benefit plans.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process, including all applicable communications.
  • Review and process all leave of absence requests and unemployment claims in accordance with government guidelines.
  • Compile, analyze and prepare data for annual 401(k) audit.
  • Lead ACA compliance, reporting and filing. Be sure all filings are accurate and timely.
  • Analyze and interpret current benefit trends and best practices to ensure the agency’s offering remains competitive and cost-effective.
  • Bring forth recommendations to improve efficiency and/or the employee experience as it relates to benefits.
  • Overall, demonstrate empathetic customer service and accuracy in work. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or other related field
  • Three or more years of experience in benefits administration; strong background working with all types of employee benefit plans, including medical, HSA, dental, life, LTD, COBRA, FMLA and 401(k) plans; includes having a track record of making sure employees are enrolled in the right plans at the right time while ensuring carrier billing and employee deductions are correct
  • Extensive knowledge of all applicable federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements related to employee benefit programs, and employment; should include HIPPA, ERISA, AADA, Section 125, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, social security/unemployment and DOL requirements
  • Exceptional customer service skills coupled with a high level of professionalism; experience effectively collaborating with a wide variety of roles, people and personalities, including insurance carrier representatives, accounting/staff, fellow department team members and co-workers (especially those in need of your assistance)

We are seeking an exceptionally talented intern to join our Creative team and assist in our Content Box – where projects come to life! This is a part-time paid internship. The ideal candidate for this role is attentive to detail, a team player, and very passionate about content creation and production. If you are a self-starter, willing to work quickly and able to generate lots of ideas, you will be successful in this role. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shadow client work/projects to get additional insight on how the content team/production team executes production, and how agency practices work together on various projects.
  • Support the Content Box team in live video/photo shoots. Some responsibilities may entail prop shopping, organizing the studio and having a willingness “to do the random.”
  • Assist full production team with internal social content or miscellaneous client projects.

The Role  Designer

Reports to Creative Director
We are seeking a motivated, highly talented, energetic designer to work on one of America’s top manufacturing brands. In this role, the Designer will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with our Director of Studio Services and our Director of Design who will oversee and manage a variety of assignments, including print, digital and social assets. Initially, the Designer will assist our creative team in developing clean, accurate digital files for reproduction and web development. The Designer will also be given various conceptual and design assignments, increasing in scale and complexity, as part of their professional development at the agency.

We know the impossible is possible and we’re seeking candidates who know that too. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create clean, accurate digital files and graphics for reproduction and web development.
  • Judge and implement efficient and effective time management to complete work within tight deadlines.
  • Assist with agency presentation materials for client and new business efforts.
  • Effectively communicate any perceived pitfalls in the project process prior to implementation.
  • Create pleasing designs as needed for studio projects.

  • Schedule flexibility – this client is in the Pacific Time Zone and sometimes requires work outside of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST business hours.

The Role: Digital Media Planner

We’re seeking a successful self-starter with at least three years of direct media planning experience. The Digital Media Planner is the agency’s primary daily contact with internal client teams. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to function independently in a variety of areas, while keeping key leaders informed on the status of projects.

The Role: Solutions Specialist

Reports to: Senior Solutions Specialist

The ideal candidate for the Solutions Specialist position will have deep knowledge in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and possess the ability to offer best-in-class consulting to Devs United’s internal and external clients.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Assist Solutions Architect(s) with the configuration of components in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, such as administrative settings, automations, email campaigns, and customer journeys.
  • Ensure the quality of configuration and execution of test case steps provided by the Solutions Architect. 
  • Support development of configuration documentation.
  • Collaborate with the internal teams to perform your role successfully.
  • Manage the Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools as necessary to meet client objectives.

Knowledge “Nice-to-Haves”

  • Experience documenting requirements or meeting notes
  • Experience with marketing automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Constant Contact, Mailchimp or similar

JOB SUMMARY

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of deep technical knowledge in Salesforce technologies and the ability to offer best-in-class consulting to Devs United’s clients. As the Senior Technical Consultant to the client, your job is to gather and translate technical requirements to the rest of the project team for development and ensure the quality of the overall solution. The Senior Technical Consultant also helps the sales teams with designing, estimating and presenting CRM and marketing automation solutions to prospective and existing clients, as well as working with the leadership team to identify new business opportunities for service offerings.

WHAT YOU DO

  • Demonstrate knowledge working with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud
  • Be the main technical point of contact for a client on assigned projects
  • Conduct design, discovery and technical walk-throughs with your assigned clients
  • Analyze, design and develop solutions integrated with Salesforce platforms (i.e., Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud) and similar technologies based on customer requirements
  • Ensure the quality of the overall solution and provide programming best practices and guidelines for the development team
  • Prepare technical and functional documentation
  • Assist with scoping and estimation of pre-sales opportunities
  • Identify opportunities and trends to implement new technologies that could be added to Devs United’s service offerings

The Role: Development Intern

 

Marcus Thomas is looking for an intern to join our Web and App Development team, working in Development and IT. Our developers work on groundbreaking Fortune 500 company websites, social media, mobile and more. You will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and senior leadership.

 

This is a full-time summer paid internship. As Development Intern at Marcus Thomas, you won’t be forced to make coffee or pick up dry cleaning. But you will assist the team with all account management activity and learn skills that will prepare you for a career in advertising. No two days will ever be the same!

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in developing custom code that reflects the provided information architecture, art direction, design and content elements within the established technical framework, specifications and overall environment
  • Participate in the writing of detailed technical/functional specifications and code documentation
  • Participate in solution brainstorming and the identification of optimal approaches to delivering against client wants/needs/requirements
  • Work to define project plans, maintain project timelines, and achieve established milestones in an accurate and timely manner
  • Take initiative to research and learn emerging technologies, trends and industry developments, and share that information with fellow staff members
  • Work in a fast-paced, tight-timeline environment, while maintaining industry-leading quality
